Creative Director and Digital Strategist, Erik Mednis works with bright lights, leading brands and the agencies that market them to help craft innovative strategies, accelerate their success, and have a lot of fun along the way.
Recently, Erik Mednis rides rollercoasters and builds rocketships…
Since 2004, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to help evolve two niche marketing companies into the No.1 and No.3 independent interactive agencies in the U.S. by translating their unique capabilities into real-world brand experiences and marketing programs.
He recruits exceptional talents to build the agency of tomorrow…
Recently, as the director of Rosetta’s New York creative unit, I infused my passion for innovation and rigorous creative development into a multi-disciplinary team that’s driving their own creative renaissance there in interactive, print, DM, and outdoor.
We were dedicated to changing the face of marketing by translating quantitative audience research into the unique, palpable insights that drive memorable impact and experience…
And has worked with some amazing people…
As Senior Director for Creative Services and Emerging Technologies, I founded the mobile marketing and the interactive units of iCrossing, which uses unique, search-driven marketing strategies to develop relevant and highly interactive experiences for their customers. In addition, we patented some proprietary applications to enable and track viral content distribution across email and SMS/PSMS mobile campaigns.
While working on some very interesting problems…
Prior to joining IC, I co-founded tcg/Rise, a small marketing agency with specialties in interactive development and branding. Our clients included Directv Broadband, Coldwell Banker, Pfizer and BP/Castrol.
Previously, I cut my teeth as a Creative Director for Agency.com, one of the pioneer Interactive Agencies. During my tenure there I lead the development of innovative web experiences for top-tier companies like DirecTV, and had the extraordinary opportunity to work with IBM’s Pervasive Computing Labs in advanced mobile experience development.
In 1997, I spearheaded the development of Sawtooth Group’s interactive team for clients such as BellSouthWireless and Tetley, which was a great learning experience in building teams and pitching ‘the big idea’ to clients… But my career really began in Art Direction for magazines and film school, learning how it takes a team to realize a vision.
I’ve done some facilitation and public speaking, and have been known to be found nosing around professional organizations like the Mobile Marketing Association, and 212.org.
I’m currently available for consulting, freelance projects or interesting opportunities to work with great people.
